Meet Larry and Linda

Larry & Linda Miskel

Let the gracious hospitality of your hosts, Linda and Larry, make their home feel like your home away from home. Though not native Hermannites, the Miskels quickly became part of the strong fiber of Hermann. Both are from small towns and much prefer the quiet stability of small-town living.

Their love for Hermann and its people is contagious: they will help you find the total enjoyment of Hermann, from its history to its wineries, its eclectic shops, or simply relaxing on the patio watching the world go by.

Good to know before you go

  • Festival weekends fill fast: Maifest and Oktoberfest weekends require a two-night minimum stay, so book early.
  • That hill: the inn sits atop a steep hill above town; guests say it is a workout on foot or by bike, and quiet because of it.
  • Small-town dining hours: Hermann restaurants keep small-town hours, plan dinner before you head out for the evening.
  • Spotty signal: cell and Wi-Fi can be weak around Hermann; download maps and trail routes before you arrive.
  • Getting here: about 70 miles (roughly 1.5 hours) west of St. Louis Lambert International Airport; driving is the practical way in.
